Taken in Old Sacramento. The roommate and I have been going there every weekend since the quarter started because of photography class. It's not that bad, but there really isn't as much in these parts compared to cities like San Francisco. I really need to figure out how to use a camera properly. :/ Not everything can be tweaked in Lightroom.

Did this exercise in photography class wherein we had to make a composition based on objects from nature and crop a "view" from it. Recolored the blossom-like things. I am really terrible at creating arrangements.

I went to the library to get something I needed; I walked out with semi-related but unneeded books.

This happens almost every time.

And occasionally wishing I were living in an environment closer to that one but having lots of open space isn't so bad.

Nothing to show but classwork. Done with Illustrator for a super basic computer graphics class. As stupid as it sounds, it's only now that I realized that I actually could've put something together so I could skip the class, but on the other hand, it's fun to try to challenge myself to go a little farther in terms of concept with the simple exercises we're being given. Anyway, I'm having trouble completing things despite drawing everyday, but then it's not like I'm under some kind of obligation to be uploading things every time I post.

The apartment wall had these tiny markings that looked like fingernail imprints. I don't know how they got there but the roommate and I thought they were rather freaky, especially since it's a whole bunch of them. So we took the test prints we did and tacked them to cover it up since management hasn't done anything about it although it had been brought up to them months back.



That kinda solves the problem.





Kind of a close-up of the previous entry. Somehow the image on the washed silkscreen looks more unique. Perhaps I should replicate the design through some means.

The roommate and I signed up for a t-shirt screenprinting class despite the terrible timing with deadlines coming in all sorts of directions and the quarter almost ending. I guess it's pretty fun to work with your hands from time to time.

Made a simple frog design. We called it sad frog. It turned into emo frog while rinsing it. Thought the pattern was kind of interesting though.

Class doodle. I have a looooooooooooong way to go.

Time to work on a 10-page paper due next week on Biedermeier furniture...haven't even begun. orz I hope I can come up with another doodle or something tomorrow.

Kotomine Kirei from Fate/Zero.. Although I like the show a lot, I've been too lazy to draw fanart for it..unless random doodles on the side of my notes count..

Well, already a couple days late. Let's see how often I can post, considering how hellish this month is.

It's been a while since I worked on something that looked like more than 10 minutes was put into it..

HW for graphic design history class, design 2 bookplates, one inspired by pre-1900 and the other post-1900. Ended up picking Art Nouveau since practically all the complete works I've done lately are done in the woodcut style, although they're digital so they come off looking really artificial. Been told by previous instructors that I really should consider taking classes in printmaking. Next quarter, maybe.

Took a bit of time off from studying. I wish my neighbors would shut the fuck up. It's midterms and they're making a ruckus!

Someday I will draw more exciting pictures.
